Chift raises $12.1M Series A
BlackFin Capital Partners led the round, and all four existing investors returned: Entourage, Shapers, Seeder Fund and Wallonie Entreprendre. Valuation was not disclosed. The Brussels company sells a single API that links software vendors to more than 120 accounting, invoicing, payments, point-of-sale and e-commerce systems. More than 150 software companies build on it, reaching over 50,000 businesses. Revenue has grown more than tenfold since a €2.3M seed in 2024, bringing disclosed funding to about €12.8M. The money goes to expansion in Spain, the UK, the Nordics, Germany and Italy, plus what Chift calls an agentic layer: integrations that configure themselves and give AI agents access to financial data. The company has about 35 staff and plans 15 hires in the second half of 2026. The pitch resembles Plaid's role in US bank connectivity, applied to a broader set of business software and a market split by country. For AI builders in Europe, financial data access is a recurring bottleneck. Agents that reconcile invoices or forecast cash still need reliable connections to the accounting and payment tools where the data sits. Buying that layer, instead of writing connectors country by country, is a build-versus-buy decision that Chift is betting more teams will make.
