Blee raises $20M Series A
Fin Capital and SMBC Fin Atlas Beyond Fund co-led the round. Hannah Grey VC and National Bank of Canada joined as new investors. Y Combinator, Penny Jar Capital, Cardumen Capital and Treasury also returned. Total funding now stands at $27 million, and the round follows a $7 million seed. Valuation was not disclosed in the sources reviewed. The New York company was founded in 2022 and sells review software to legal, compliance and brand teams. The system covers marketing, product and sales materials before publication and monitors them after they go live. The company says legal and compliance teams using it cut average review times by up to 65%. Proceeds will go toward deeper coverage of the content lifecycle, new industries and geographies, and a bigger sales push to legal, compliance, marketing and brand leaders. For AI founders, the round shows where enterprise money is going as generation gets cheaper: review, audit trails and proof of approval. A Gartner survey cited by Blee projects the share of marketing work automated by AI rising from 16% in 2026 to 36% by 2028. Startups selling generative tools into regulated buyers may increasingly face governance requirements from those customers, and may need to build for them or partner with vendors that do.
