Biolevate raises $34.4M Series A
RAISE France and Orange Ventures co-led the round. MSD Global Health Innovation Fund and Station F joined, and EQT Ventures, which led the €6 million seed in November 2024, returned. Valuation was not disclosed. The money goes toward international expansion, product depth, and a new Boston office aimed at the US pharmaceutical market. The company was founded in 2024 by former Dataiku engineers and AI researchers. It reports more than a dozen enterprise customers in production, about 50 staff with a plan to double, and seven patent applications. It claims its agentic platform can run 100,000 agents at once and speed up systematic literature reviews 16-fold. Sanofi, NVIDIA and Microsoft are listed as partners. These figures come from the company and have not been independently verified. For AI founders, the round shows investor appetite for narrow, auditable agents in regulated workflows, where evidence trails matter more than raw model capability. Biolevate started with regulatory approval documents and then widened to research, clinical trials and drug development. A pharma-backed investor on the cap table can speed up enterprise sales. The company will still face established regulatory software vendors, which is the competitive pressure vertical AI startups in this area should expect.
