Kanu AI raises $11.7M Seed
Trilogy Equity Partners led the round, with a16z speedrun, BMW i Ventures and Accel participating. PitchBook counts 11 investors in total, including Berkeley Frontier Fund and Better Angle. No valuation was disclosed. The company made the round public on September 30, 2026, coming out of stealth at the same time. It was founded just over a year ago and says revenue has more than doubled every quarter since launch. Kanu is based in Seattle. Employees show the product how they do their jobs and link it to existing systems. Kanu then turns those workflows into software that adjusts as the work changes. The software runs inside the customer's own cloud and security layer and uses the permissions already in place. Customers include firms in commercial real estate, insurance, financial services and technology. The raise comes after fears that AI would replace existing software hit enterprise software valuations earlier this year. For founders, the round tests a specific bet: that enterprises will pay for software built from their own processes rather than renting generic SaaS. Keeping data in the customer's cloud deals with a security objection that often stalls enterprise AI pilots.
