Veridion raises $20M Series A
Hoxton Ventures led the round. Underline Ventures, OTB Ventures, Gapminder, Day One Capital and LAUNCHub also took part. The Series A follows two seed rounds of €1.3 million and €5.1 million, which puts total funding above €25 million. Valuation was not disclosed. The company says the money will go to product development, hiring and international expansion, with a focus on the U.S. The product is a continuously updated company database. It covers about 642 million companies in 249 countries, organized into legal entities, locations and corporate hierarchies, with up to 461 attributes per company. Every data point can be traced to its original source, which matters for risk and compliance buyers. More than 100 organizations in market intelligence, insurance, third-party risk, ESG and procurement use it, and Experian is a partner. Hoxton's earlier Romanian enterprise AI bet was Druid AI, which it has backed from 2022 through 2025. For AI founders, the deal shows demand for fresh, traceable, entity-level data as an input to models and agents. Teams that depend on quarterly-refreshed company datasets for underwriting, supplier checks or lead generation now face a vendor pitching real-time updates and source-level provenance. Data freshness and auditability are becoming selling points in their own right, not just back-end details.
